I am so thankful to have to opportunity to create a very special pair of shoes in honor and memory of someone who made such a great impact in other people's lives. May katies spirit live on and guide others to make a positive impact in this world we live. <3 Handpainted an old pair of shoes... Experimenting with waterbased urethane on materials other than leather. So far I am very satisfied with the outcome. What do you think?
The high gloss was important on this pair to give them a porcelain-like finish! -Ambrosia Sullivan 2013 I designed this shoe in honor of Katie Marie Socci. Made with genuine leather in hot pink and ponyfur (hair on calf) with a leopard print pattern.
The shoe will be auctioned off on May 11th at the event. This sandal is truly one of a kind and will feature a handpainted outsole with Katie's initials. I hope to help the foundation raise money!
